What happens after menstruation dries up?

What happens after menstruation dries up?

A woman's physical structure is so complex that it has to go through great upheaval at different times. Menstruation begins between the ages of 9 and 13, pregnancy at a young age, labor pains, and menopause again later in life.

Physically and emotionally, these stages are not so easy for women. Monopause i.e. Menopause is one such phase, where a woman has to go through a different situation. Menstruation in women is called menopause. In this case, the woman's ovaries stop functioning permanently. Fertility ends.

This is a natural process. After menstruation stops, a woman's body undergoes various hormonal changes. Due to which various problems can appear in women. Menopause occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55 years. Most women stop menstruating in their 50s.

There are two ovaries on either side of the uterus. It produces hormones called 'estrogen' and 'progesterone'. Menstruation is regular because of this hormone. After menopause, two ovaries stop working and the production of hormones also stops.

Obstetrics and gynecology specialist Dr. Dr. Shweta Singh says.

Physical and emotional changes after menopause

After menstruation stops, there is a lack of estrogen and progesterone hormones in a woman's body, which causes various physical changes. Dr. Singh says, "Due to lack of hormones, symptoms such as insomnia, profuse sweating, extreme cold and heat appear."

These hormones also help the body absorb calcium. As a result, the bones become weak and problems such as back, waist and joint pain appear. Singh says that in some cases, there may be problems in the heart itself.

If there is a large tumor in the uterus or due to some other complicated problem, the uterus and the ovaries on both sides must be removed, the hormones estrogen and progesterone will not be produced and menstruation will not occur.

Emotional changes appear due to lack of hormones. As a result, mood changes, getting angry over small things and even throwing tantrums can happen,” she says.

Artificial menopause may also occur

There is a certain time when natural menopause occurs. But artificial menopause can happen at any age of 35, 40 years. If there is a large tumor in the uterus or some other complicated problem and the uterus needs to be removed, the hormones estrogen and progesterone will not be produced and there will be no menstruation. Which is called artificial menopause. Singh says.

In some women, the ovaries are not functioning properly due to some health problem. Singh says that even if radiation is given to patients with cancer of the uterus and ovaries, the ovaries will stop working and in such a case the menstruation will dry up.

Also, if the hormone prolactin is high in the body, menstruation will dry up. According to Singh, even if the thyroid hormone is low or high in the body, menstrual disturbances or dryness may occur.

Treatment of post-menopausal problems

After the cessation of menstruation, various changes and problems have appeared in the body due to the lack of hormones, then the treatment is through hormonal replacement. The amount of hormones in the body will be increased by giving the deficient hormones through drugs or gel applied to the skin. Singh says.

Hormonal medicine given from outside should be used according to doctor's advice. By doing this, the changes and problems in the body due to hormones will be reduced, says Singh.

There are various reasons for artificial menopause. If such a problem is caused by thyroid and prolactin hormones, then those hormones should be brought to the right state.

Dr. Singh says, "If there is artificial menopause due to problems in the uterus and ovaries, then hormonal pills should be taken. Long-term hormonal therapy is required. Women with such problems should go to the hospital for follow-up at intervals of 6 months or one year. So that the consumption of that medicine cannot cause other problems.

What does a 'food inspector' do?  Those who studied food technology, who like the food of different restaurants? They check the quality of what kind of meat the meat shop is selling, whether the vegetables of the vegetable shop are pesticide-free.
